Add bookmarks

Write a PDF's table of contents: titles, pages and levels, in any language.

Your files are never sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Drop one PDF.
  2. Type one bookmark per line: the page number and the title, indented with two spaces for a sub-entry.
  3. Choose add or replace, press Run and download.

Questions and answers

What does a line look like?

"3 Introduction" or "Introduction ... 3". Two leading spaces, a tab or a dash make it a child of the line above.

Will existing bookmarks be kept?

With add, new entries follow the existing ones; with replace, only yours remain.

Does merging keep bookmarks now?

Yes. Merge keeps each file's bookmarks and can add one bookmark per file.
