Merge PDFs without uploading them: tax papers, contracts and records
Combining bank statements for a loan, tax forms for an accountant or records for a claim means handling documents you would rather not upload. Here is how to merge them on your own device, for free.
Why it matters where the merging happens
Most online PDF services upload your files, process them on their servers and delete them later. With kami, the files are read and merged inside your browser and never sent to us or anyone else.
If you work under rules about where client or patient documents may go, check your organisation's policy. kami does not receive your files, but only your policy can say what is allowed.
Steps
- Open Merge PDF and drop two or more PDFs, or click the box to choose them.
- Put them in order with the arrows. Click a page thumbnail to leave that page out.
- Under Bookmarks, keep each file's bookmarks, or also add one bookmark per file.
- Press Run and download the merged PDF.
Good to know
- Password-protected PDFs work: a password box appears when you drop one.
- One run takes up to 200 files and 500 MB in total; on a phone, about 200 MB is a sensible ceiling.
- After merging, Compress PDF can bring the file under an email or portal limit.
Questions and answers
Is it free?
Yes, with no limit on how often you use it.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, merging keeps working without an internet connection.
Are my files uploaded?
